a different angle

all herald the steakmaster

Had a feeling I'd like this picture when I took it and I'm not disappointed. That's the thing with film, you have to be patient while it's off being developed. Sometimes it's worth the wait.

Dad's cooking steak while Connor and Andy are jumping off the deck. Going for distance as I recall.

George

I spent some time with my newly retired coworker George last Saturday. We picked up a couple of french dip sandwiches and ate them at Golden Gardens Park. Kind of a dreary, rainy, day but fun nonetheless. George had his first round of radiation therapy last week. The resultant swelling is tweaking the "word" part of his brain. He knows what he wants to say and recognizes when it's wrong but can't find the words. They gave him some steroids that should help. The pictures were taken with a classic Canon F1 he owned and has put in my care.

dressed as a girl.

I should clarify Taylor is, and has always been, female. She usually prefers an androgenous wardrobe.

fluffies

Some time ago we found a perfect cattail and put it on our hearth. Several weeks later I notice some rogue fluffs appearing around the fireplace. Our perfect cattail had split its side to spill out its contents. "Take this mess outside", I tell Molly. So she does. Dancing gleefully and showering my shiny black shoes with seeds.

Meanwhile on the Ave...

...we stumbled across what was once the ubiquitous gay hookup spot Tubs. Seems the only hooking up going on now is a colorful effluence of finely atomized paint penetrating the rigid pores of an uncaring masonry wall.

Molly's heart is pierced after her belly button isn't

Yup, the long awaited naval piercing was aborted when our friendly professional took one look at Molly's umbilicus and determined, while cute, the outiness was incompatible with bejeweled penetration. Since you can't be in a tattoo/piercing shop without getting a tattoo or piercing lest karma kick you asunder - a second set of earrings were selected. The disappointment, while still palpable, was partially eased by a walk down the Ave and some pho for lunch.
